The City of London Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC), memorializing their solidarity in fighting for intellectual property rights.
The signing comes on the heels of similar IACC engagements with Europol and the Guardia di Finanzia, further affirming the IACC’s commitment to the protection of intellectual property in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
“Partnerships like these are an important step in winning the battle against counterfeiting” said IACC President Bob Barchiesi. “We commend the City of London Police for its dedication to intellectual property protection, and we look forward to working hand-in-hand with law enforcement to stop fakes from making their way to London and beyond.”
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the 10th Annual Intellectual Property Crime Conference in London, hosted by Interpol and UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and attended by more than 600 international practitioners and enforcement officials.
