The Rental Affordability Index Study for 2017 reveals the new values and costs of renting a property in London. The study explains the occupancy fee per square foot in 33 London boroughs. As a result of this, the study further portrays the lowest gross income that is demanded to support a person and a family of four in rented home, based on the smallest space suggested for a single person respectively for a family by the Greater London Authority.
The all-encompassing research was carried out to understand the conditions and costs associated with renting as an individual or a family and to ascertain if London is becoming more and more difficult to afford. The cost of rent for a square foot was computed using the existing market listings for every area studied on this occasion.
